The Earth League Secretariat is distributed across the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Futures Laboratory at Arizona State University in the United States, the Climate Service Center Germany at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon and the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research in Germany. Together, they advance joint activities per the charter and statutes they have set forth.
Close coordination within the Secretariat and among individual and institutional members ensures an integrated management of The Earth League’s concerns, ideas and endeavours.

Johan Rockström is Director of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research and Professor in Earth System Science at the University of Potsdam. Rockström is an internationally recognized scientist on global sustainability and Earth resilience and led the development of the Planetary Boundaries framework.

Peter Schlosser is the vice president and vice provost of Global Futures at Arizona State University. He is a leading earth scientist, with expertise in the Earth’s hydrosphere and how humans affect the planet’s natural state.

Paula joins The Earth League after several years working within the UN system in Latin America. She has a background in International Relations and is completing her master’s degree in Sustainability. Within the Secretariat, she leads the scientific coordination of the 10 New Insights in Climate Science series.

Denise joins The Earth League after more than twenty years of leading and implementing community-engaged research projects that tackle environmental health issues in the desert Southwest and border region. She is now focused on international work, using her skills to enhance research translation and science communication efforts.

Henry joins The Earth League after decades of experience in leading state-of-the-art ocean-climate research from the South Pacific to the Caribbean. He has now turned his focus to working at the science-policy interface and science communication.
